Sparr.fun ("we", "us") operates a live video debate platform. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

Information we collect

• Account data — username and anonymous or phone-based auth via Supabase.
• Phone number — collected when you verify to create or join debates. Used for abuse prevention and account recovery. Delivered via Twilio SMS.
• Debate content — topics, comments, votes, likes, and optional debate recordings you create.
• Camera & microphone — used only during live debates through LiveKit when you grant permission.
• Location — country derived from your IP address at signup (stored as a country code, not your full IP).
• Reports — if you report content, we store the report reason and related IDs to moderate the platform.

How we use data

We use your information to run debates, display leaderboards, moderate content, improve the product, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.

User-generated content

Debates may include mature language or controversial opinions. You are responsible for what you post. You can report content or block users in-app. We may remove content and ban users for nudity, hate speech, harassment, or excessive profanity. We aim to review reports within 24 hours.

Account deletion

You can delete your account from the Account menu. Deletion removes your phone number and personal profile data and anonymizes your username. Debate recordings and votes may remain as anonymized history so past debates stay intact. Deleted phone numbers may be blocked from re-registering.

Third-party services

• Supabase — authentication, database, file storage
• Twilio — SMS phone verification
• LiveKit — real-time video and audio
• Vercel — hosting

Data retention

We retain debate data and recordings while content remains active. After account deletion, personal identifiers are removed or anonymized as described above.

Children

Sparr.fun is for users 18 and older only. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
